DESCRIPTION: The soft flowing Tennant sleeveless top has a round neck that features a bias bind for a clean and light neck edge finish. The armhole extends off the shoulder slightly and is finished with a bias folded armband cuff. The Tennant top pattern has soft gathers at the underarm to help create extra fullness and volume for the bust. This style can be lengthened and worn as a dress style. It can be teamed up with a singlet top or t-shirt underneath for a layered look. The garment on the cover and included in the step-by-step instructions have been made in 100% cotton fabric.

ALTERATIONS TO THE PATTERN: This garment can be lengthened to be worn as a dress with a tapered hem, but check hip-width and make adjustments if required. *To make the dress, purchase fabric once you have adjusted the length to your personal preference. This pattern is suitable for larger bust cups, but suggest making a toile to obtain your perfect fit.

NOTIONS:

✁* Optional x1 meter of 10-12mm wide bias binding if not making your own.

SEAM ALLOWANCES AND FABRIC EDGE FINISHING: All seam allowances are 1.2cm, unless otherwise noted. To finish the edges of your fabric you can use an overlocker (3 thread), zig-zag or suggested finishing stitch that is available on your machine. *For advanced sewers, binding seams or French seams can be another option for finishes.

FABRICS: Cotton Poplin, Linen, Cotton/Linen blends, Cheese cloth, Chambray, Silk or stable light to mid-weight woven fabrics. Fabrics that have some drape and gather will work well in this style.
