ENHANCING YOUR SEWING SKILLS: This sewing pattern will help you learn new pattern terminology and enhance your sewing techniques using lining and interlining.

INTERLINING/FUSING FABRIC:
‘Block fuse’ and ‘Piece fuse’ are terms that are used to explain how to fuse fabric for stabilisation before sewing.

Piece fuse involves attaching interlining to individual garment pieces before sewing them together. Block fuse applies interlining to larger sections of fabric before cutting out pattern pieces, streamlining the process. Fusible interlinings vary (non-woven, knit, woven) and must be selected based on fabric weight. Fusing stabilizes fabric, adding structure, stability, support, enhancing drape, and improving garment quality and durability.

ALTERATIONS TO THE PATTERN: The Juniper Drop Shoulder Coat can be lengthened to a longer style coat. The sleeve can be shortened to a 3/4 sleeve. Buttons or fastenings are optional. *Check hip width and blend sizes if required.
